Where is the closest accommodation to the
Sabeto/Tifajek Mud Pools and Hot Springs? Here are my nearby homestay and hotel suggestions and their distance to this swim. All distances below
are by road to these two mud pools and hot springs, which are located next door to one another. I have also included information on local tours to the mud pool and hot springs from
Nadi.

Hotel accomodation close to the Sabeto/Tifajek Mud Pools:
There is no accommodation at either the Sabeto or Tifajek mud pools and hot springs, which are in a rural area approximately 4 km off the main highway. However, the good news is that the mud pools
and hot springs are only 9 km by road from Nadi International Airport. The area around the airport offers the closest, wide-ranging hotel accommodation options to the mud pools and hot springs that I could find.
Here are three with higher rankings from guests and their distance from the mud pools and hot springs.

Homestay accomodation close to the Sabeto/Tifajek Mud Pools:
There are a couple of homestay options that are marginally closer to the hot springs and mud pools than the international airport district. However, I was quite discouraged by the
lack of transparency around these homestays, with sometimes only a single photo, and very few if any customer reviews. One homestay claimed in its listing that it was within
walking distance to the hot springs and mud pools, and to the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, and to the Sleeping Giant Zip Line, despite these being 6 km apart as the crow flies and
the zip line only being accessible from the other side of the river with no river crossings further downstream until you get back to the highway.

On this basis, I found it hard
to confidently recommend a homestay accommodation close to the hot springs and mud pools. I will revisit this at a later date, when hopefully a few more travellers will have tested some
of these homestays out as we get used to travelling again in the post-covid era.
Camping accommodation for Sabeto/Tifajek Mud Pools:
There is no camping at the hot springs and mud pools. Similar to the homestays, I struggled to find camping accommodation close to the mud pools and hot springs, so am not recommending
any at the current time.
Nadi hot spring tours:
If you are staying in Nadi, there are local tours available to the hot spring and mud pools that usually also take in the Garden of the Sleeping Giant, which
is along the road to the hot spring. The garden is quite lush and well manicured, with lawns, plenty of palms, tropical flowers, a boardwalk up the hill,
and a refreshing drink provided on my visit on return to the hill-station style building at the entrance. Click to
see and book a local tour
to the hot springs, with pickup typically from your accommodation in Nadi.
