Accommodation close to Cumberland Falls:
The nearest accommodation to Cumberland Falls is the Cumberland River Holiday Park, which is located directly at the start of the walk to the falls. Even if you are not staying at the holiday park, you
will need to walk alongside and through the holiday park to reach the start of the walk to the falls. The holiday park is quite picturesque, with the clear and shallow pebbled Cumberland River running beside the park,
and imposing mountains and rocky cliffs overhead enclosing the Cumberland River valley.

Accomodation in nearest large town (Lorne):
Lorne is the closest large town to the falls, roughly 7 km to the north of the falls by road. If you would like to stay close to the falls, but also close to shops and other amenities, here are three highly ranked
accommodation options on the main street (Mountjoy Parade, also known as the Great Ocean Road) opposite the beach. All of the options below have some rooms or apartments with ocean views.
Whilst high quality accommodation in Lorne fills quickly, there are dozens of holiday rentals available to choose from if you book early enough.
Caravan and camping accommodation for Cumberland Falls:
Camping is available at the Cumberland River Holiday Park at the start of the walk to the falls, as mentioned above, and there are several caravan parks in Lorne.
In the Great Otway National Park, in which Cumberland Falls is situated, there are formal campgrounds at Allenvale Mill Campground behind Lorne and at Jamieson Creek Campground, which
is a few kilometres past the Cumberland River, further along the Great Ocean Road.

You can also take a longer walking route from Allenvale Mill Campground to Cumberland Falls via alternative walking tracks,
however based on what I saw at the junction with one of those tracks, it was much narrower and more overgrown than the trail from the Cumberland River Holiday Park, and over steeper terrain. Bookings
with Parks Victoria are required at both of these bush campgrounds.
