Where is the closest accommodation to Black Dog Swimming Hole on Bruxner Park Road in Central Bucca in northern NSW? Here are my nearby camping, homestay, and hotel suggestions and their distance to this swim. All distances below are by road to the swimming hole. Above: Looking upstream from Black Dog Swimming Hole (Order this image) Whilst camping is not expressly prohibited by any signs at this swimming hole, this spot is located right next to the road with no flat ground apart from a concrete slab for your vehicle and no toilet or rubbish facilities, so I would not recommend camping here. The closest accommodation that I could find were two properties on Mardells Road in Central Bucca, with the closest of these (Lemon Myrtle) being only 2 km from Black Dog Swimming Hole. Lemon Myrtle also comes with its own swimming pool.

If you would like to stay near Black Dog Swimming Hole but still have access to a wide range of amenities (including the Big Banana), Coffs Harbour is only 10 km to the south-east of Black Dog Swimming Hole. Here are three accommodation options close to the centre of Coffs Harbour with access to supermarkets, shops, pubs and restaurants. The Quality Hotel is the only one of these three options with a pool.

There are no campgrounds or caravan parks in Central Bucca and no national parks or State forests with camping nearby. There are several caravan parks on the coast from Coffs Harbour to Moonee Beach, all within easy driving distance to Black Dog Swimming Hole. Here are three holiday parks with camping and cabin accommodation in the area. All three have a pool, with the mutli-section pool with water slide and splash park features at the Big4 being particularly good for kids. There is one caravan park that is slightly closer to the Black Dog Swimming Hole (Banana Coast Caravan Park) but it only seems to offer cabin and cottage accommodation, not camping or caravan sites.
