Where is the closest accommodation to Sawtell Rockpool? Here are my nearby camping, homestay, and hotel suggestions and their distance to this swim. All distances below are by foot or by road to the rockpool, not as the crow flies. Above: Sawtell Rockpool (Order this image) The Sawtell Memorial Rock Pool is located at the very end of Boronia Road on the Bonville Headland at the southern end of Sawtell. Fortunately for travellers, the last three properties on Boronia Street, before entering the headland, are all holiday rentals, and there is no closer accommodation to the rockpool than these three below. It is roughly a five minute walk from these properties along the track that runs over the headland to the pool. If you can get it, the views from the living room of the Lobster Cottage are pretty good. These options are roughly a 500 metre walk to the Sawtell shops (in the opposite direction to the rockpool).

For caravan and camping accommodation, the closest option by far is the Big4 Sawtell Beach Holiday Park on the other side of Bonville Creek off Lyons Road. I did not walk down to Bonville Creek when I visited the Rockpool, so I cannot say how easy it is to walk or swim the 300 metres across the sandy creek estuary to reach the pool, but the caravan park has direct access to the creek. The Big4 Sawtell Beach Holiday Park is next to the local 5 lane, 25 metre pool and apparently holiday park visitors have unlimited access to the pool.
