Yarrawonga Foreshore Splash Pad
Splash parks in north-east Victoria, Australia

The Yarrawonga Foreshore Splash Park is a free splash pad on the Lake Mulwala foreshore. It has a vertical sprinkler ring that you can dart through, plus several water jets of different sizes and configuration that squirt up from the splash mat. At only a few metres in diametre, it's quite small, so the splash pad is best suited to early primary and pre-school aged kids, particularly if they are not quite old enough to enjoy the other water attractions on the foreshore. The water is activated by sensors on the splash pad that respond to movement. The water runs for a 15 minute cycle, after which it will cease until you start moving again.
For older kids there are a range of other water activities on the foreshore. These include the giant water slide (for a fee) and the lakeside swimming pool. There is also a playground, swings, and lots of shaded lawn area on the foreshore if you want to turn the day into a family picnic.
